Pest Control Safety | Baltimore Pest Control

We Choose Treatments Based on Each Pest’s Unique Habits and Biology

If you think of exterminators as people who come to your home and spray some toxic stuff on the baseboards in hopes of killing the pest, we don’t blame you. After all, these “baseboard jockeys” have dominated the industry for a while, hence the bad reputation for pest control.

However, things have changed a lot since then and Brody Brothers are proud to be a part of the modern integrated pest management approach. All our exterminators are knowledgeable in each individual pest’s behavior and biology, which helps us choose timed and targeted solutions that include such steps as:

  • Habitat modifications to discourage pests from settling on your property
  • Pest-proofing your home to eliminate points of entry
  • Timed and targeted treatments
  • Follow-up monitoring to ensure the pest is gone
  • Customer education to prevent future infestations

We Use Insecticides and Pesticides Responsibly

Over the years of experience (and from watching our competitors), we’ve learned that “the stronger – the better” approach is neither effective nor risk-free, when it comes to extermination treatments.

In fact, effectiveness and safety are not about the dosage, concentration or the products’ origin – it really comes down to how knowledgeable the person applying the product is.

Brody Brothers have been in business for 30 years and we started with the slogan “Child and Pet Safety is our Main Concern.”

We have always stood behind it with our on-the-road training and classroom settings. We strive to provide the most progressive service and use the lowest-risk products available on the market today.

There is no pesticide that is non-toxic. If it was, it wouldn’t kill any pest.

Take clove oil, for example. Listed as an organic pesticide, it can be more toxic than a synthetic Permethrin.

Be cautious of companies that advertise only organic, chemical-free or natural pesticides, because if they are sticking to their promise, they might be limited in the ways they can help you.

At Brody Brothers, we carry a large array of natural and organic products. We are always happy to offer them to our customers if we think it’s the best solution for their pest problems.

However, when organic products are no match for their less green counterparts, we will recommend the least toxic, low-risk products from our arsenal to minimize exposure while effectively controlling the problem.

Would you like more information on the products we use? Feel free to email or give us a call and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
